We Serve
low income children, three and four years of age and their families; 10% of the total enrollment is available for children with disabilities
We Provide:
services in preschool education with a focus on social, physical, language, and cognitive development
parent involvement in policy decision making in a program operation and through parenting education and employment opportunities
health care through coordinating the delivery of comprehensive physical, mental, and dental care, nutrition education, and meal services
advocacy for Head Start families, counseling, referrals, and assisting families in becoming aware of community resources to improve the condition and quality of family life
We Employ:
a variety of professionally trained personnel in fields such as:
administration and supervision
social work and social services
early childhood instruction including Child Development Associates (CDA) with national teaching credentials and experienced caregivers of young children
health care including nurses
parent educators
food service personnel
and many others committed to providing quality family support and services
a large percentage of the staff are former Head Start parents
