We Serve
- low income children, three and four years of age and their families; 10% of the total enrollment is available for children with disabilities
We Provide:
- services in preschool education with a focus on social, physical, language, and cognitive development
- parent involvement in policy decision making in a program operation and through parenting education and employment opportunities
- health care through coordinating the delivery of comprehensive physical, mental, and dental care, nutrition education, and meal services
- advocacy for Head Start families, counseling, referrals, and assisting families in becoming aware of community resources to improve the condition and quality of family life
We Employ:
- a variety of professionally trained personnel in fields such as:
- administration and supervision
- social work and social services
- early childhood instruction including Child Development Associates (CDA) with national teaching credentials and experienced caregivers of young children
- health care including nurses
- parent educators
- food service personnel
- and many others committed to providing quality family support and services
- a large percentage of the staff are former Head Start parents
